This guide highlights fantastic Cebu hotels that cater to your furry friend, offer stunning beach access, and include a delicious complimentary breakfast to jumpstart your adventures. Reviews and price comparisons were compiled from various booking platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, Priceline, and more.

  1. Tepanee Beach Resort

Raitings: 8.3 (Very good)

Location: Malapascua

Average rate: $75

"Almost perfect, only the customer policy of this italian owned nice resort could be more smooth, for example we rented 2 pair off goggles snorkles and very old fins, they charged us almost 50 dollars for 9 days... breakfast was more or less the same all 9 days we stayed there. The restaurant is a little behind compared to the outstanding (italian) restaurant (Angelina) just besides the resort."

  1. Quo Vadis Resort

Ratings: 8.1 (Good)

Location: Moalboal

Average Rate: $76

"Great diving school with fabulous instructors. Nice resort with lovely staff. You can see the sardines out the front of the resort or swim to the right to see them near Chilis. Turtles as well."

"The staff was very kind and helpful. The area was like a little slice of heaven and very quiet. There was a diving center in the area of the resort which was great and easy to book activities with. The restaurant had some good options and there was also possibility to get it delivered to the room. Room was spacious and clean. A nice little porch with a hammock. THere was some set of stairs which brought you right down to the ocean and it was a great spot for snorkeling. Very happy we got to stay here.and recommend it."

"The resort is the best place for divers who wants to get their license or do fun dives. They have training pool and diving sites inside the resort. The dive shop instructor and staff were all very professional and friendly. One of the best dive resorts Iv ever been to! My highest recommendation for divers! I would definitely come back here again next time"

  1. Ravenala Beach Bungalow

Ratings: 8.0

Location: Moalboal

Average Rate: $40

"We loved this place. The people were amazing, the service was excellent and we loved the beach area and the ambiance. A small, secluded family style resort that we were able to sit and have a conversation while the staff brought us coffee, tea, water and food. We were completely relaxed the whole time. As a person who travels many times per year, my experience here was one of the best. Mostly because of the staff. They were outstanding. I’ve stayed at some of the most expensive places in the USA, and the service here blew those 5 star expensive resorts away. I would stay here again. It’s nice to be around personable, friendly people who are committed to making your stay comfortable. Thank you Teresita and your wonderful staff!"

  1. Island Front - Bangcogon Resort

Ratings: 7.5 (Good)

Location: Oslob

Average Rate: $35

"The room was spacious and clean. The CR had a water dipper (and bidet) for my Filipino wife and a hot water heater in the shower for her foreigner husband. Lisa was typical of the staff, attentive and responsive and helpful in arranging rides for us to the various sites. This was one of the best places to stay in our recent travels. Also the restaurant was great. Good food, (lots of choices) with good sized portions and reasonable in price. My wife and I ate for 500-600 pesos every meal total. (Breakfast was included with lots of selection made to order) Just a great stay. The beach is too rocky for sand castles. But there is an area with tables and chairs overlooking the beach with a great view of the sunrise and clouds going by during the day."

Kenneth Cobonpue's Proposal of NAIA1 Makeover

"Its time someone did something about the worst airport in the world. So we made this design because we believe that no matter how beautiful our country is, our airports give the first and last impressions. This plan is relatively inexpensive and simple to adapt. The plan also involves renovating the interiors to allow faster flow of travelers between security, immigration and departure. The first step has been done. Lets hope our government moves on this proposal quickly."  taken from Kenneth Cobonpue Facebook page.

Just a little background, Kenneth Cobonpue is an Internationally recognized designer for his classy furniture and concept products. His client includes Hollywood celebrities and European multinational corporation. He grew up and was raised in Cebu and most of his designs somehow were inspired by Cebu and the surrounding islands he said.

Kenneth Conbonpue, Budji Layug, Royal Pineda in cooperation with NCCP (National Competitiveness Council of the Philippines) [it's the first time I heard of this council actually but whatever that is forgive my ignorance) proposed a pro-bono design of NAIA1 make-over and renovation. As we all know NAIA1 is one of the worst International airport in the world and it's about time we do something about it.

Cebu Srp Tunnel

Here are some few tips if you are riding a commuter taxi or driving your own vehicle going southbound like Talisay, Naga , Carcar etc. Take the Srp tunnel to avoid traffic and lessen your travel time. There are 3 main exit if you just want to avoid traffic and do some shortcut. If you're heading labangon, punta princesa and basak pardo, take the mambaling exit. While Inayawan exit will lead you to inayawan, pardo and lower talisay area and going to talisay city just take the talisay exit. Exit signs are visible so you can skip your map and just enjoy the ride.

Sinulog 2011

The most loved festival in the Philippines is once again crowding the street of Cebu with all the ensembles and street dancing unique to the region. The festival which is celebrated and embraced by most locals is now gaining popularity abroad. Tourist flock the city every year to witness the event and is growing with a decent number exponentially. Sinulog grand parade happens every third sunday of january in celebration of the feast of Sr. Sto. Nino!

Urban Trippin: North Reclamation Area

NRA (north reclamation area) is probably synonymous to SM, Whitegold, Cebu Port Authority (Pier 1-7) or those vandals on some fences and walls. Have you notice the high-fenced Chinese cemetery along whitegold filled with non-sense graffiti and vandal? It kind of irritates my eye every time I passed by going to SM but not until last week when I saw some kids painting the walls with rainbow-colored level-up character inspired murals. I dropped by and took some photos and watch those pips passionately complete the details. They told me they where commissioned by Level-up, Inc. to do the thing for a competition by April or may. But whatever they were being told, I love what they are doing. And I will never think of NRA that way again.

Jammin' under Maribago Sun!

I find Maribago Blue Water Resort so ironic because the water is so green, laughs! Anyways they have a man-made island that's so panoramic from the main property where we stage our summer outing. It was so beautiful that I wonder if its artificial at all. Maribago has a lot to offer even if you find nothing worth doin at all, you can relax and soak yourself under the sun or feel the tropical breeze snatch your soul.
We decide to isolate ourselves in the island while we're jammin with the riddim of Burnin Culture.Rates valid from April 01, 2007 - March 31, 2008

Discover Tabuelan!

Its perfect for beachbums, soulsearching, and retreat. If your sanity is on the verge of giving up-just take a 2 hour bus-ride and isolate yourself and relax. Tabuelan offers reasonably priced hideout, fresh food and perfect solitary confinement. Dont forget your paolu coelho book over buko juice it will surely calm your worn out soul.

How to get there?
mini-bus is available in NorthBus Terminal(Cebu)with an hour interval that cost $2-$3. V-hire is also available but very limited at SM terminal area.

Where to stay there?
LaFamilia Beach Resort and Durham is what I reccommend which are reasonably priced at $40-$45.

The Food? The place has lots of restaurant to choose from.

Exploring Plantation Bay!

The first time I went there was when our Team won the company's monthly blitz which was an overnight stay at the resort, free dinner and a buffet continental breakfast. But what struck me the most was their artificial lagoon which covers almost entirely the whole property. I must admit Plantation Bay is very pricey for a backpacker lik me but it's worth it, you kinda paying the true value of their accomodation. And the hospitality man, oh it's very Filipino, without any pretensions or shall we say effective customer service, eh? nah, whatever! We even get a discount since my friend is working there! And did I mention the lagoon, the artificial falls, slides and numerous swimming pools? Those are just few of what Plantation Bay offers.

Destination Badian!

Badian is a secluded town in the southernmost portion of Cebu where you can find pristine and white sand beaches. Few exclusive resort are mushrooming the area including Badian Island Resort and Cebu International Golf and Resort. Anyways I am not recommending those resorts unless you extend the credit limit of your visa card.

There are lots of ways you can groove your way down there, either thru a bus or a 15-seater van. A van will cost you $2.50 for a 2 hour ride from Cebu City to the town proper. Private villas and beach houses abounds the area ranging from $45 to $95 per night. The one we had rented has a patio/balcony, private loft, 3 bedroom, 1T/B and a shower room good for 6-8 people.

Restaurants are 5 mintes ride to town center since these houses are secluded. But food is not a problem, you might bring some canned goods or you can ask the house caretaker to buy you some fresh stuff and have them cook it for you, serve hot, how bout that?

Nostalgic sunset, calm seabreeze, comfy beachhouse, and good food is somethin Im looking forward the next time I will visit Badian. Ooh, I just cant wait for it.
